Honeycomb

Here’s an odd one. This chart shows Google’s dev stats for devices connecting to the Android market. Why is the percentage of Android devices with 7 inch or larger screens rising faster than the percentage using Honeycomb, Google’s tablet OS? I could understand a gap in the past, before Honeycomb was widely available, but why now?

Clearance of inventory?

Edit: depending on your estimate of Android’s install base, that gap is 1-1.5m - too large to be a single device or developers laying with different versions.

(I have some estimates for total Android installed base to apply to these numbers later)
